Tesla Will Launch All Model Series in Turkey in 2022
Elon Musk will soon be in Turkey with Tesla’s four models.

Electric car maker Tesla is planning to launch all four models in Turkey this year.
There is an ever-increasing demand for electric vehicles across the globe, and Tesla, in this regard, wants to expand its footprint in the market. The company will bring the four models to Turkey under Tesla Motors, a branch of Elon Musk’s company in Turkey, according to a report published by Teslarati citing Daily Sabah.
Tesla will be in Turkey with its Model series
As part of the plan, Model X, Model Y, Model 3, and Model S will be in the country in 2022 while Tesla will reorganize its company’s headquarters in Turkey. The report revealed that Tesla would also launch sales offices and showrooms in the country’s largest city Istanbul and will even hire a store manager in the city, according to a job posting on Tesla’s official website.
According to the report, the tech billionaire’s company has already come a long way in its initiative in Turkey as Emir Tuncyurek was appointed as the Operations Manager for Tesla Motors. “Proud sharing! I will continue my journey, which started with a passionate attachment to electric cars in 2014, in charge of Tesla’s operations in order to officially bring Tesla into existence in Turkey,” Tuncyurek said in his announcement. Elon Musk, in addition, picked Kemal Gecer as the head of Tesla Motors in the aforementioned country.
Moreover, Tesla will establish a supercharger network across the country. Ankara, Antalya, Aydin, Balikesir, Bursa, Edirne, Hendek, Istanbul, Izmir, and Konya, all of which are labeled as “coming soon” for now, were listed as the first ten locations for superchargers by Tesla. When you click on those locations, you will see the message “Target opening date to be confirmed” due to ongoing preparations.
In 2021, meanwhile, a total of nearly 4,000 electric cars were sold in Turkey. That figure remained at only 1,600 during the previous year, Motor1 reported. By the end of 2021, about 8,000 electric vehicles are estimated to be in traffic in Turkey.
It is highly probable that demand for EVs in that country will increase with the arrival of Tesla’s four models in question. To note, Turkey itself aims to launch the first mass production for domestically produced electric vehicle Togg by the end of the year 2022.
Elon Musk said previously his company would accept Doge as payment.
