Although the tallest building in the world was the Empire State building from 1931 to 1972, engineering has gained momentum since then. Today, Empire State is out of the top 40 on the list.
Previously, while the European and American countries had the tallest buildings, now the Asian side is hosting these buildings.
We listed the 10 tallest structures that dazzle with their architecture as well as their height below.
10- TAIPEI 101

According to the Skyscraper Center, Taipei 101 is located in Taiwan. The height of the building completed in 2004 is 1,667 feet (about 508 meters). The architectural style of the building echoes traditional Asian aesthetics in the structure. The region is known to face frequent devastating earthquakes as Taiwan is located within the Pacific Ring of Fire. Tropical storms also take place. When the engineers built the structure, they took these harsh conditions into account to boost Taipei 101’s endurance. 9. CITIC TOWER

CITIC Tower from China’s Beijing comes second on our list. Known as China Zun, the building is the tallest one in the city. It is popularly known as China Zun. The building is the tallest in the city, of which its height difference of 190 meters, compared to the China World Trade Center Tower III.

8. GUANGZHOU CTF FINANCE CENTER

The Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre, which is owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises, is situated on an area of 27,000 square meters (290,000 sq ft) along Zhujiang East Road in Zhujiang New Town. Being the 3rd tallest building in China, it also comes the 4th structure in Asia. You can experience the world’s fastest elevators that can speed up to 21 meters per second if you visit there.

7. TIANJIN CTF FINANCE CENTER

Tianjin CTF Finance Center is one of the super-tall skyscrapers in China. Its construction began in 2013 and was completed back in 2019. The tower ranks seventh on the list of the tallest building in the world.

6. ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER: THE TALLEST BUILDING IN THE US

Located in the US, the One World Trade Center is the tallest building ever constructed in the world, and it is the main structure of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex in Manhattan.

5. LOTTE WORLD TOWER

4. PING AN FINANCE CENTER

The Ping An International Finance Center, also known as the Ping An IFC, is a 115-story, 599 m (1,965 ft) skyscraper in China’s Shenzhen. Completed back in 2017, it is the second-highest building in Asia and China, including offices, a hotel as well as a conference center in addition to a shopping mall.

3. MAKKAH ROYAL CLOCK TOWER
