Elon Musk Shared Footage Showing Starship Launch and Catch Tower
The tower will catch a returning Falcon Heavy.

Space enthusiast and the founder of SpaceX Elon Musk is known to be impassioned to carry people to distant destinations, such as the Moon and Mars. For this purpose, Musk’s company is nowadays working on Starship, of which the space tycoon tweeted a video flaunting Starship launch tower.
Elon Musk noted, “Starship launch & catch tower,” in the 31-second video attached to his tweet. As is seen, arms on the structure will hook Falcon Heavy booster that will return after it will complete escorting a Starship, according to CNET.
What to know about Starship launch tower and Starship rocket
The Starship-catching tower is located at SpaceX’s Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas, and Elon Musk nicknamed that tower “Mechhazilla” that has arms to catch the booster.
According to SpaceX, “Starship will enter Mars’ atmosphere at 7.5 kilometers per second and decelerate aerodynamically.” When it comes to long distances, Starship needs to be the most powerful vehicle and work continues to make it so. The aforementioned vehicle is under construction for the purpose of carrying people to the Moon and even the Red Planet.
As for Falcon Heavy, it consists of “three Falcon 9 nine-engine cores whose 27 Merlin engines together generate more than 5 million pounds of thrust at liftoff, equal to approximately eighteen 747 aircraft.”

Also, SpaceX waiting for orbital launch permission from the Federal Aviation Administration to take off from Texas plans to conduct the first orbital flight of Starship rocket earlier this year. “We’ll do a bunch of tests in December and hopefully launch in January,” Musk said during a virtual meeting reported by CNET. “There’s a lot of risks associated with this first launch, so I would not say that it is likely to be a success, but I think we will make a lot of progress.”
It is likely that the year 2022 will be full of test flights of Starship so that commercial flights could take place next year. Elon Musk was chosen as the person of 2021. Now it’s time for Starship but as a fully reusable transportation system.
