Opera Is Launching Revolutionary Web3 Crypto Browser Project
Tired of downloading tens of wallet, dApps, or swap extensions to your standard browser. Seems like Opera did quite the browser for crypto enthusiasts.

Opera is known to delve into specific industries with specific browsers as you may remember GX gamer browser before. Now, it is the company’s second attempt at solving a flourishing industry’s browser problem. In a recent blog post from Opera developers, they announced that a crypto browser is being made to eliminate the extension-filled browsers of the crypto community.
What features is the new Opera Crypto browser going to have?
As a blockchain dedicated browser, it is claimed that the new browser will be the pioneer of a dedicated Web3 browser. With a dedicated Opera wallet without an extension, accessing well-known decentralized applications (dApps) without the need of downloading them separately, having swap features built-in within the browser, it promises to remove a lot of the hassle that the community always complains about. The browser is also claimed to be able to hold NFTs (If you are interested in NFTs, read: Meet Geoffrey Huntley: The Man Who Pirated All NFTs in Existence), Digital Art, and link to GameFi. Like the GX browser, you can also have your own gallery and have a crypto news feed from your selected or default choices.
They are also partnering up with well-known names in the industry like Solana and NEAR, for the browser’s own performance and encryption along with the apps that are built onto them. The browser is immediately available for use and you can use it on Android, Windows, or Mac. iOS support is told to be arriving later.

Blockchain everywhere!
As blockchain begins to penetrate daily life as a new alternative form of internet and finance, it seems likely that big tech firms will also want to take their share in that pie. After this move, I wonder how it will go for the company’s competitors Chrome or Firefox since they are the dominating companies on the browser scene. However, in the GX gamer browser move, they did not act much since it did not affect their customers that much. Now, if the blockchain community goes to use this browser, maybe they will come up with even better alternatives. If it becomes a Web3 race with a lot of development, everyone will innovate in the end!
